No, Things are not quite what they seem. It's not a major disaster but one of our sponsors, Castle Recovery putting on a very impressive display with the Dorset Fire and Rescue Service showing what they can do.

Bournemouth Carnival Court take their first Official Outing in the Bournemouth Carnival Parade. The horse got tired so our resident DJ and full time loony sponsor offered to tow them instead!

A number of Sandcastle building competitions were held but the main one was held in conjunction with Meridian Television and compered by Fred Dineage. It was held on one of the few glorious sunny days and was followed by a Chalk Drawing competition.

And the MC for the Duck Racing Event is our resident DJ, Rich, otherwise known as Weasel. Hmm, wonder why?

We organised a number of events at the entrance area to Bournemouth Pier, including Rachel's Dance Company, The Twirlstars Majorettes and the Bournemouth Caledonian Society who gave a demonstration of Scottish Country Dancing. All ages and cultures joined in and although the weather was not at its best, a great time was had by all. (And no, it is not snow seen on some of the photos in the dark, but the effects of fog that decended!)

Held in very poor weather, our Teddy Bears Pic-Nic had only a few entrants, unfortunately. However, the day was brightened up Cherry Bear and by two very lively "Young Ladies" who joined in and brightened up the dancing. Thank you ladies.

There's not a lot more to be said when boats of this quality turn up!
