Duck Racing in the Bourne Stream, Lower Gardens

Various displays took place at the Pier Approach Precinct including (in the order shown), Rachel's School of Dancing, the Bournemouth Caledonian Society demonstrating some scottish dancing which everyone could participate in, including the Mayor of Bournemouth (left), the Bournemouth Carnival Band and, of course, a karaoke evening.
Pier Approach Events

We had a number of excellent band performance during Carnival Week from (in the order they performed) Swing Unlimited Big Band and the associated Swing City, Pantastic (no photos unfortunately), the Come Prima Band and ending on Friday with a highly successful performance from Alchemy (left).

Our Chairman Colin and Vice-Chairman Ali had to squeeze into the limelight when Cherry Bear, AFC Bournemouths mascot turned up to our pic-nic

We didn't have many entries for the Carnival Granny competition so our president, Pat Fail decided to join in and swell the numbers. She didn't win of course.
