*EVENTS CONTINUOUS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK* A WINNIE THE POOH CHARITY STALL IN THE BOURNEMOUTH LOWER PLEASURE GARDENS – for 50p per ticket you could win one of the many different Winnie the Pooh prizes. All profits go towards the future of Bournemouth Carnival Week. RAFFLE – Raffle tickets will be available at the Charity Stall and at All events from Committee members; 10p per ticket and prizes Include: Travel Vouchers; Wines; Spirits; Chocolates, Family tickets to Funderworld and more.

	10.30 am - Wacky Racing This event is also supported by the GKR Karate Club	Open to all children up to the age of 16 years in an enclosure on the sand. Prizes in selected age groups.
	11.15 am - Sand Building	Open to all children up to the age of 16 years and depending on number of entries they will be split into three age groups. Prizes in each group.
	2.15 pm - Chalk Drawing.	Open to all children up to 16 years. Entrants will be split into three age groups depending on numbers and the best three in each age group will receive prizes. Event will take place in a roped off area on the promenade. Chalks supplied.

	4.45 to 6.00 pm - Duck Racing	Plastic Ducks supplied on payment of 20p entry fee. There will be a minimum of 10 heats with 10 or 12 ducks each race; the winner of each heat will go to final race and the winner of the final will receive cash and Special Prize award.

	8.00 - Musical presentation	Steve and Paul of X-CITE. Now well established local solo entertainers in their own right, together bringing lots of fun along the way.

	2.35 pm – Carnival Granny Contest	Event Sponsored by THE POOLE TOWN CRIER A selection will be made from all the Grannies present
	3.00 pm – Fancy Dress Contest	Open to all children up to the age of 15 years and divided into three separate age groups depending on the number of entries.
SUNDAY 3 AUGUST
	MEYRICK PARK AND TOWN CENTRE – BOURNEMOUTH NATIONWIDE 2008 CARNIVAL PROCESSION .
	11.30 am - Assembly of Carnival Procession
	1.30 pm - Judging of Entries
	2.50 pm - Presentation of Prizes
	3.40 pm - Carnival Procession ready to move.
	3.50 pm - Procession starts on its route	The route is:- Meyrick Park; Braidley Road; Bourne Avenue; The town Centre; The Avenue; Triangle; Terrace Road; Exeter Road; Pier Flyover; Bath Hill: Westover Road; Gervis Place; Yelverton Road; Richmond Hill; St Stephens Road; Braidley Road and Meyrick Park. Rob’s Event Caterers will be in Meyrick Park from 11.30 am until 6.00 pm.
